  • Identify opportunities to enhance employee's accountability in fraud prevention and detection.

This presentation's focus is on building an Anti-Fraud culture based on the Three Lines of Defense Model.


Speaker Information

With over 18 years of experience in finance, risk management, and fraud prevention, Martha Parra brings deep expertise and strategic insight to the fight against financial crime. Currently serving as Manager of Special Investigations at GM Financial, Martha leads internal investigations, her work encompasses forensic examinations, information gathering, and conducting witness and admission-seeking interviews.

Martha began her career in financial services with Citibank Colombia and Scotiabank, where she developed a strong foundation in fraud risk management. Her career spans both Latin America and North America, giving her a perspective on regional fraud trends. She has focused on designing and implementing robust fraud prevention programs, policies, and strategies that strengthen organizational fraud risk management. Martha is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) passionate about empowering teams and fostering a strong anti-fraud culture across organizations.
